A Glimpse at the 2020 Porsche Cayenne
Design
Porsche has revamped the design of the 2020 Cayenne for a more athletic build, with a long, sloping hood and broader shoulders. The LED headlights have the trademark matrix design and are complemented by double-row LED accents. The 21” AeroDesign wheels look sharp with an arch extension built into the body.
The interior of the 2020 Cayenne is as elegant as the exterior. The dashboard has a 12” touchscreen display, Sport Chrono stopwatch, and the choice of aluminum, carbon, or wood trim. Available 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats are power-operated for optimal comfort and have an available massage function that has five modes with five intensity settings.
Performance
There are four engine choices available, depending on which model you drive:
- Cayenne: 335-hp 3.0L Turbocharged V6 w/ 332 lb.-ft. of torque
- Cayenne S: 434-hp 2.9L Twin-Turbo V6 w/ 406 lb.-ft. of torque
- Cayenne Turbo: 541-hp 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 w/ 568 lb.-ft. of torque
- Cayenne E-Hybrid: 455-hp 3.0L Turbocharged V6 w/ 516 lb.-ft. of torque
Each engine pairs with the 8-speed TiptronicⓇ S transmission. Porsche Active Suspension Management uses three settings (normal, SPORT, and SPORT PLUS) to continuously balance shock absorption. The Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus varies torque distribution to each wheel for optimal handling.
Technology and Safety
The 12” HD touchscreen uses Porsche Communication Management for controlling navigation, audio and phone functions. The available Burmester® 3D High-End Surround Sound System features 21 individually controlled speakers and a 400W class D amp to bring you one of the best audio systems on the market.
