Design
They don’t give the Gran Turismo Sport (GTS) title to just any car. It has to earn it. The 2020 Macan GTS does so via a lower chassis and adaptive air suspension when compared to previous model years. This crouched, athletic build helps the Macan GTS launch into the daily commute just as easily as it launches onto the track.
But at the end of the day, this crossover is still a luxury SUV. Just look at the cabin: It’s decked out in Alcantara® panels and seating surfaces and leather upholstery, which is available in Carmine Red or Crayon. And for optimal functionality, we’d be remiss to leave out the multifunction sports steering wheel.
Performance
The new Macan GTS unleashes 375 horsepower of fury with its 2.9L V6 engine that features two turbochargers. In fact, when equipped with the Sport Chrono Package, this crossover can get from zero to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds. Shifting is as fluid as it’s ever been thanks to a newly adapted PDK dual-clutch transmission, and Porsche Active Suspension Management contributes to a tighter overall drive.
Safety
Porsche knows that if you’re going to have a lot of power at your fingertips, you better have the driver-assistance technology to back it up. That’s why the new Macan GTS comes with a litany of cool features, such as adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, and Park Assist. But it’s not all business, and no fun and games.
